Someone's FaceBook status just read: "When I grew up, movies were on VHS tapes, cell phones were nearly nonexistent, and we all played outdoors. Our family computer was an Apple II that ran entirely off of (real) floppy discs. No one ever worried about germs, since we were all outside playing in the mud. There was no internet. As a teenager, I made mixtapes by recording off of the radio. It's going to be funny explaining all this to my kids someday. " WOW! Does that make me feel old! When I grew up, movies were at drive-in theaters, home phones were something rich people had, and we didn't have time to play outdoors, we were too busy planting/weeding/harvesting crops instead - outdoors all day with no time to play. Computers were bigger than a house and laughed at. No one ever worried about germs, since we were all outside growing our food in the mud. There was no internet, heck there were no home computers! As a teenager, tapes were better known as 8-tracks, and entrainment was watching The Liberace Show on a black&white TV than playing his 78records on the phonograph. How would you rephrase her status to fit your life growing up?
